The villa takes its name from the charming village of Puigpunyent, on whose edge it sits, a name believed to derive from the Latin for ‘sharp mountain’. Nestled in the foothills of the Tramuntana Sierra, Villa Puigpunyent enjoys a dramatic backdrop of rocky peaks that define this striking landscape.
Puigpunyent is largely residential, yet surrounded by some of Mallorca’s most scenic hiking and cycling routes. The nearby Reserva Puig de Galatzó is a wonderful nature reserve, especially popular with families. Despite the sense of being immersed in the countryside, Villa Puigpunyent is just a 20-minute drive from the vibrant capital, Palma.
