An electric gate closes behind you as you enter the cheerful Mediterranean-style property. Ground floor is a sunny semi-open area with kitchen, diner and lounge, all with access out to the garden and pool area. You’ll find one of its four bedrooms also on this level, with the other three on the first floor.

A garden terrace extends to the swimming pool surrounded by a tidy lawn studded with palms and an ancient olive tree. From the upper terrace you can enjoy lovely views of the surrounding hills. Sunny family-friendly villa in residential Santa Ponsa
SETTING
The villa is located in a tranquil leafy neighbourhood on the outskirts of the popular Santa Ponsa resort, on Mallorca’s southwest coast. It’s also a short drive from Port Adriano, if you’re planning on boating during your stay. You’re also within walking distance, or a quick drive, from the Santa Ponsa beach with its calm shallow waters, pine-backed sand and buzzy summer vibe. The rocky Ses Pedreretes cove is a short walk, too, which is great for swimming and snorkelling. What’s more, it’s all less than half an hour’s drive from Palma and the airport.
SLEEPING
The villa’s four bedrooms sleep up to eight guests, with two doubles and two twin rooms. All rooms are bright and cheerfully decorated, and the two doubles have their own ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers. Two of the upper floor rooms also extend to a sunny terrace with views of the surrounding neighbourhood. There’s also a big family bathroom with a soaking tub on the first floor.
RELAXING
The swimming pool and surrounding terraces provide a lovely sunny spot to while away hot summers days. The pool is long enough for at least a few strokes, while poolside you’ll find plenty of loungers and comfy seating to dry off between dips. If you fancy an evening in, the lounge has a lovely big L-shaped sofa perfect for flopping on and watching a movie on the huge wall-mounted TV, which also comes with Netflix.
EATING
A smart sleek kitchen corner comes fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday, including a big fridge-freezer and dishwasher. If you fancy grilling something alfresco, there’s a poolside barbecue, too.
For eating out, you have a top dining option at the nearby marina overlooking the boats. There’s an abundance of family-friendly restaurants in Santa Ponsa, too, while nearby Port Adriano offers an excellent range of upmarket options.
