You’ll be in Mal Pas-Bon Aire, a swish and serene neighbourhood whose coast runs along the vast and scenic Bay of Pollensa in the north of the island. It’s one of the most exclusive places to stay, and with easy access to some of Mallorca’s best beaches and most picturesque scenery.
SETTING
This villa fits comfortably in its upmarket Mal Pas-Bon Aire neighbourhood, characterised by quiet leafy lanes, a low-key marina and a scattering of holiday homes and residences. You have two lovely little beaches within walking distance – Playa de Sant Pere and Playa de Sant Joan – or head long the peninsular for scenic coves and various hiking trails with stunning views.
It’s a five-minute drive to the historic town of Alcúdia, and a little further to the popular beach resort of Port d’Alcúdia with all manner of water sports. While its all on the far side of the island, excellent road connection means its still under an hour from Palma and the airport.
SLEEPING
Of the six rooms, four are in the main house, all with their own up-to-date ensuite bathrooms. One is an attic bedroom ideal for children. The master suite also boasts a dressing room, lounge area and extra large bathroom, as well as a private terrace with views over the sea towards Menorca. Interior design is an attractive mix of oak floors, modern furnishings and calming neutral tones with occasional pops of colour. Blackout blinds and drapes, plus top quality bedding also aid a peaceful night’s sleep.
RELAXING
You’ll certainly find yourself gravitating towards the villa’s huge swimming pool, filled with saltwater and with an integrated jacuzzi if you fancy some bubbles. The pool is also lined with lots of cushioned sun loungers, and there’s plenty of shady seating, too. A cosy, warmly-lit lounge is great you’d rather fancy flopping onto a sofa indoors – air con and central heating ensure the temperature is perfect year-round.
EATING
The villa has a fully updated kitchen with all the appliances you need to prepare everything from quick snacks to family meals. There’s an outdoor kitchen, too, with barbecue for alfresco cooking as well as multiple outside dining areas. If you’d rather eat out, there are two great restaurants nearby – Nura Chill Restaurant and 5 Oceanos – or there’s great seafood at the S’ Illiot Strand just up the coast. For genuinely stunning views, head to Restaurante Mirador de la Victoria a short drive up into the nearby hills.
