As well as from its various terraces, inside too numerous sliding glass doors and picture windows provide vantage points that frame the spectacular views of the bay and beyond. At dusk, sunset fills the port with a light that really adds to the undeniable magic of a stay at this exceptional property.
SETTING
Port d’Andratx is a picturesque bay located on Mallorca’s southwest coast, flanked either side by soaring hillsides that really give the town a uniquely dramatic setting. Villa Celeste is positioned on the northern side, in an upmarket residential neighbourhood that descends to the port’s luxury marina.
Polished contemporary villa with breathtaking bay views
It’s an easy stroll or quick drive down to the buzzing waterfront, lined with lively bars and restaurants, most found just on the other side of the bay. While the beautiful coast is best explored by sea, you’ll find coastal walks in the area, too, around nearby Cala d’Egos. Sandy beaches at Camp de Mar and Sant Elm are also a short drive away, while it’s around half an hour by road to Palma and the airport.
SLEEPING
The villa has five bedrooms sleeping up to eight guests, all bright and modern with wood floors, big double beds, and ensuite bathrooms with twin sinks and roomy walk-in rainfall showers; two also come with deep Duravit tubs. One of the rooms opens to a huge terrace with large hot tub, sun loungers and spectacular bay views. Another has its own private terrace with wicker seating, and a particularly lovely place for secluded sundowners.
RELAXING
A decent-size south-facing pool provides a welcome spot in which to cool off, have a swim or just floating about in while soaking up those wonderful vistas. You’ll find lots of cushioned loungers to flop onto poolside, too. The hot tub can also comfortably fit four, and a fabulous spot to star gaze while massaged by bubbles.
Inside there are two lounges, both with sink-into sofas and big TVs and one featuring a double-sided glass fronted fireplace – perfect for the chillier months.
EATING
The villa’s sleek fully-equipped kitchen is kitted out with top quality Miele appliances, including six-ring hob, big fridge, dishwasher, microwave and two ovens. You’ll also find a Nespresso coffee machine, a wine cooler and filtered drinking water on tap. There’s an outside kitchen area, too, complete with top-range gas grill perfect for poolside barbecues.
For eating out, you’re spoilt for choice down in the port whether it in the swanky sailing club or the dozen-or-so restaurants that line the other side of the harbour.
