With its honey-hued stone, quaint wood-shuttered windows and terracotta tiled roof, there’s something timelessly bucolic about this charming country villa. Its Mediterranean garden setting, complete with tidy lawn, scented flora and ancient olive trees, adds to the wonderfully rustic vibe. And beyond the grounds stretch the fields and farmland of the scenic Santanyí countryside.

Charming family-friendly finca in Santanyí campo
SETTING
While the surrounding Santanyí campo offers a lovely sense of rustic remoteness, there’s still so much of the island highlights within a short drive. The pretty town of Santanyí is just 10 minutes away by road, while the stunning Cala de Santanyí is just five minutes further. In fact some of Mallorca’s best beaches are an easy drive, including Cala Llombards and Es Trenc. It’s also just over half an hour to the buzz and bustle of the capital, Palma, and its international airport.
SLEEPING
The villa has five double bedrooms, one accessible on the ground floor, and sleeping up to 10 guests. Each has their own ensuite bathroom with premium toiletries, thick towels and underfloor heating – the master suite features a lovely spoon bathtub and double shower. All rooms are bright and comfortable, and extend to terraces with views over the garden and towards the mountains. King-size beds with quality ‘King of Cotton’ bed linen aid a good night’s sleep.
RELAXING
At almost 14 metres long, the pool offers plenty of space for swimming lap or just floating in the sunshine. It features a swan neck jet, too, and the pool can be gated if little ones are in tow. Poolside is a shower and ten cushioned loungers with parasols to flop onto. Up on one of the terraces is a ping-pong table if the mood takes you, and on the other has a sail-canopied chill-out area with wicker calm lounger. A Sonos sound system also means you can set the holiday vibe wherever you are around the villa.
EATING
A smart modern kitchen comes equipped with everything you’ll need to whip up meals or snacks with ease. Just outside here is a second summer kitchen, with gas barbecue and table for alfresco dining. A rooftop terrace also makes a lovely spot for sunset cocktails.
If you fancy eating out, the small village of Cas Concos is just a few minutes’ drive away and has a couple of excellent local restaurants serving traditional fare.
