The first thing that strikes you when you arrive at Villa Alaro is the idyllic beauty of its setting. The gardens are nothing short of dreamy, with its combination of manicured swathes of lawns, sculpted shrubbery and carefully cultivated collection of scented Mediterranean flora. Adding to the sense of total tranquillity is the sound of water trickling into the villa’s fish pond and chirruping of birds in the forested hillside surroundings.

Inside the mood stays largely rustic, but with sunlight-filled spaces and touches of sophistication such as hanging chandeliers and gilt-framed artworks. Add some spectacular panoramic views over the central plains of Mallorca from numerous vantage points, and the result is blissfully restful spot you’ll happily while away your holiday.
