Enchanting sierra- and bay-view country villa
SETTING
Mont Baix is the lower of two villas that share beautifully landscaped grounds filled with fragrant Mediterranean flora and mature palm trees. Located just outside the pretty village of Moscari, Mont Baix is backed by dramatic mountain scenery and surrounded by peaceful countryside. The nearby villages dotted around the Tramuntana foothills provide excellent starting points for hiking trails. By car, Mont Baix is around 25 minutes from the northeast coast and some of Mallorca’s best beaches, while Palma and its international airport are approximately half an hour away.
SLEEPING
Mont Baix sleeps up to 10 guests across five double bedrooms, all of which can be arranged as twin rooms if preferred. Interiors at Mont Baix are bright and welcoming, blending simple rustic details with pops of colour and playful furnishings. The master bedroom is located on the ground floor and features a floral statement wall, beamed ceiling and curved smart TV, along with direct access to a covered garden-view terrace. One bedroom opens onto a small balcony, while two others have furnished terraces with pool and bay views. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with walk-in rainfall showers, and some also include twin stone sinks.
RELAXING
Relaxation comes easily at Mont Baix, with cushioned loungers lining the shimmering swimming pool, ideal for soaking up the sunshine or lounging beneath a broad straw parasol. For a more active moment, Mont Baix offers an artificial grass tennis court with a courtside spectators’ lounge, as well as an optional ping-pong table. Indoors, there’s a pool table and two comfortable living spaces, one with a cosy fireplace and the other with a large TV and surround sound system.
EATING
Cooking is a pleasure at Mont Baix thanks to the open-plan Bulthaup designer kitchen, complete with a top-of-the-range La Cornue oven and elegant stone worktops. An adjoining dining area sits alongside a covered terrace with a long table, perfect for relaxed alfresco meals. Barbecue enthusiasts staying at Mont Baix will also enjoy the Japanese kamado-style Green Egg grill.
For dining out, you can stroll straight into the village of Moscari, while nearby Selva also offers some excellent restaurants with lovely countryside views.
