SETTING
Finca Es Rafal is set in the picturesque countryside surrounding the charming town of Alaró in the centre of Mallorca. The setting is a patchwork of fields scattered with citrus and almond trees that extend towards the foothills of the Tramuntana Sierra. Alaró town, with its quaint cobbled lanes, pretty town square and cosmopolitan vibe, is an easy stroll from Finca Es Rafal. You’re also within easy reach of excellent hiking and biking trails, including the renowned climb to Alaró Castle. And if you’re craving the buzz of the city, Palma is just a 25-minute drive away.
SLEEPING
Finca Es Rafal has four bedrooms sleeping up to eight guests. Three of the rooms are split between the ground and first floor, while the fourth is in a separate guest house with its own kitchen and lounge. All rooms at Finca Es Rafal have breezy rustic-chic décor, with queen, double or twin beds and views over the gardens. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and the master adds its own dressing room.
RELAXING
A lovely pool at Finca Es Rafal, lined with green mosaic tiles, is long enough for morning laps or simply cooling off while enjoying the fragrance of the surrounding gardens. Around the grounds, you’ll also find serene places to unwind, including a decked palapa and a sun-dappled chill-out area.
A large outdoor jacuzzi at Finca Es Rafal is perfectly positioned out of sight of the house but with beautiful views of the scenic mountains. A spacious rooftop terrace provides superb vistas over Alaró, the countryside and the Sierra. There’s also a newly refurbished tennis and basketball court, as well as a trampoline and swing to keep younger guests entertained.
EATING
The bright, country-style kitchen at Finca Es Rafal is fully equipped with everything needed for relaxed meals or more ambitious cooking. Guests are free to pick fruit and herbs from the orchards and gardens, and the owners provide their own olive oil and honey on arrival.
If you want to dine out, Alaró offers several excellent restaurants. La Bufala is known for superb pizza, while Restaurant Terra Mar & Foc specialises in flame-grilled meat and seafood. A stay at Finca Es Rafal wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the famous Es Verger Restaurant, beloved for its slow-cooked lamb and spectacular mountain-side setting.

The outdoor jacuzzi at Finca Es Rafal is positioned perfectly for mountain views, and around fifteen sheep and ten lambs keep the wider garden neat — and will happily say hello if you bring them a grassy snack.

On this same floor are two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, an additional independent bathroom, and a beautiful 70 m² glazed room filled with natural light, used as a lounge and dining space.
Upstairs at Finca Es Rafal there is another living room, an office, and two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The spacious master bedroom also features two separate dressing rooms. A rooftop terrace of around 15 m² provides unparalleled views over the village, mountains and surrounding countryside.
