SETTING
The villa is set in the picturesque countryside surrounding the charming town of Alaró in the centre of Mallorca. The setting comprises a patchwork of fields scattered with citrus and almond trees that extend towards the foothills of the Tramuntana Sierra. Alaró town with its quaint cobbled lanes, pretty town square, and cosmopolitan vibe is an easy stroll away. You’re also within easy reach of some excellent hiking and biking trails, including the renowned climb up to Alaró castle. And if you’re hankering after the buzz of a big city, Palma is just a 25-minute drive away.
SLEEPING
The main building houses five of the villa’s six bedrooms, with the sixth suite located in an extension connected through the garden. All are fully air-conditioned and open to a terrace with views over the leafy grounds, plus five of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers. The ground-floor suite also boasts a whirlpool tub – big enough for two – and a walk-in wardrobe.
RELAXING
The villa’s huge gardens make for an especially relaxing space to unwind among nature in the Mallorcan sunshine. At the centre is a shimmering emerald swimming pool measuring a generous 14 x 7 metres, which also includes a shallow section that is safe for young kids to splash about in. Lining the pool are comfy loungers and parasols, plus there’s a double sunbed perfect for afternoon siestas for two. For those seeking a little light activity, there are ping-pong and pool tables, as well as a PlayStation games console.
EATING
The villa’s kitchen comes equipped with all the high-end appliances you’ll need for preparing meals and snacks, including a Smeg kettle and toaster. There’s also a breakfast bar together with an outside dining area seating up to 12 people, ideal for long lingering lunches or balmy evening dinners. A barbecue area with a gas grill also includes a chill-out area and dining space. For eating out, you’ll find some lovely seafood restaurants in neighbouring Portocolom, or for lots of choice head to the buzzing nearby resort of Cala d’Or.
