SETTING
Casa Duquesa is located in the verdant central plains of Mallorca, placing you firmly in the rural heartland of the island while still within easy reach of some of the south coast’s best beaches. Few parts of the island are ever very far away, so Casa Duquesa makes an excellent base for exploring, with Palma and its international airport just half an hour’s drive.
Nearby, you’ll find plenty of vineyards to visit, including Bodega Can Feliu just five minutes away by road. For a taste of authentic Mallorca, the village of Porreres is also close to Casa Duquesa and offers a wonderfully unspoilt glimpse of local life, as well as a great place to stock up on regional produce.
SLEEPING
Casa Duquesa has an impressive nine bedrooms in total, ranging from the grand master suite through to charming attic rooms, all offering ample space for two guests each. The decor is traditionally styled, with carved headboards, antique furnishings and terracotta tile floors, yet finished with a fresh, polished feel throughout.
All bedrooms at Casa Duquesa have access to their own bathroom, while the master bedroom also features a luxurious marble-trimmed bathtub. Several rooms enjoy views over the patio, and each is equipped with its own TV, although most guests will likely prefer to admire the surrounding Mallorcan countryside.
RELAXING
Separated from the main house by a short walkway, the pool area at Casa Duquesa is a nicely secluded spot for relaxing days in the sun. You can enjoy a cooling dip in the generous 75-square-metre pool, finished with shimmering deep green mosaic tiles, before reclining on one of the many cushioned loungers.
There’s also a pool house at Casa Duquesa, complete with a comfortable lounge area that provides a quiet, intimate setting for evening drinks and relaxed conversation away from the main house.
EATING
Casa Duquesa is exceptionally well set up for large groups, with two fully equipped kitchens that can handle everything from simple snacks to full-scale banquets. One kitchen is industry standard, making it ideal if you’re hiring a private chef or catering for events, while a 16-seater dining table is perfect for long, sociable meals.
While there are no restaurants within walking distance of Casa Duquesa, you’ll find plenty of authentic dining options in the nearby villages of Porreres and Vilafranca de Bonany, as well as in the larger town of Felanitx.
